The Vega choir is based in Malmö in the south of Sweden and consists of 33 girls from19 to 26 years of age.
The choir started in 2008 with a clear purpose to create a choir that sings pop- and rock classics with strong lyrics – but in traditional choir arrangements. On their first album (“Keep breathing” 2010) they for example sing songs by Nirvana, Oasis and Coldplay.

In September 2011 Vega Choir released their second album (“With every heartbeat”). This album contains only songs written by famous Swedish popartist like Robyn, Takida, The Ark and The Sounds.

The choir has also made music videos which all have been well spread on internet via Youtube. They are also represented on iTunes, Amazon, Napster and Spotify and have sold albums not only in Europe but also in America, Australia and Japan.
The Vega Choir has performed several times on Swedish national radio as well as on national TV.
Founder and conductor of the choir is Christian Schultze who is a organist and Music Director of S:t Johns Church in Malmö (wich is a part of the Lutheran Church of Sweden). Schultze is also a teacher in conducting at the Academy of Music in Malmö.

On the Vega Choir’s tour in China they will sing in Kunming as well as in Shanghai. They will performe covers of different, mainly Swedish, famous popartists but also some traditional Swedish folksongs. In their ambition and curiousity of learning more about Chinese culture
they even learned two Chinese folksong which they will performe in Chinese.

This is the first journey abroad for the choir and for most of the members it’s their very first visit to China. The choir is excited and eager to learn more about the Chinese people and culture and are really looking forward to sing Swedish contemporary pop music to a new audience.

Where does the wind blow, you hear its sound, but do not know where it comes from, where to go.

There is a group of musicians who use music to soften soul, shed light on the hopeless, quench the thirsty mind, melt the cold with melody. With their music, they open a window, a creek, a creek that streams from the soul. They play different musical languages, adhering to a different aesthetic, softly babbling, creating waves of luxuriant differences. Also with Miao musician’s most wonderful vocal performance, TCG Nordica brings you the sounds of paradise.
