Norwegian musician Anne Marte Eggen‘s trip to China will be started from TCG Nordica Culture Center Kunming. This spring is destined for Anne to start a different experience and cultural collision. Anne has passion for music when she was a child , during secondary schoo lshe began to learn electric guitar,and high school into a professional art institutions continue to explore new forms of music. During this period Anne combined the jazz and world music in electric guitar. After graduating from college, Anne continued to study film drama and added depth and tension to his later performances on music. Starting in 2015 in Europe, more than well-known band as an electric guitarist, and to participate in Europe, the Americas and Asia’s major music festivals. From this period Anne began to write his own music. This time came to China Kunming Anne’s biggest wish is work with variety of Chinese musicians and participate in folk music forms about westen and easten comunication.
BANDS
We Float (www.wefloatband.com) We Float is a pop-jazz group fouded by me who is the groups bass player and composer. We have played at some of Swedens most famous jazz festival and in April 2015 we released our debut album Silence on the label Havtorn Records. Silence was very well received by the critics.
Ljom (www.ljom.net) Ljom is a Norwegian/Swedish folk-jazz group who rearanges old traditional melodies from the small village Snåsa, in Norway. The band released their first album Seterkauk in 2014 on the record label Kirkelig Kulturverksted. Since our debut we have toured frequently in Norway, Sweden and in the US.
Cure-a-Phobia (www.cure-a-phobia.com) Cure-a-Phobias music can be described as art pop with a good portion of improvisation in it. With viola, accordion, piano, musical saw, vocals and electric bass the band creates new and exiting music. I have been a member of Cure-a-Phobia since 2015.
Apolonia (www.apolonia.se) Apolonia playes music inspired by balkan, klezmer, reggea and swedish folk music. Apolonia have done a lot of theatre performances and also collaborated with cirkus artist. I have been a member since 2015.
Eka trio (www.ekatrio.com) Eka trio is a swedish/finish/norwegian jazz trio based in Malmö, Sweden. We play music written by the guitarist Tomas Hörnberg and in February 2017 we released our debut album “Eka” on the label Pälsrobot Recordings.
Pahaska Pahaska is a trio that concist of Emma Swensson (Obo), Sille Ellehammer (saxophone) and me on the electric bass. The bands members have different backgrounds from folk- jazz and world music which affects the music we make.
Andersson/Eggen/Rauh Andersson/Eggen/Rauh is a collaboration between the Swedish guitarist Nils Andersson and the American guitarist Charlie Rauh and myself. We play original compositions that are wowen together with long collective improvisations. In 2015 we did a tour in Sweden and Denmark and in May 2017 we will tour in Scandinavia again.
