The day of Music
From Paris to Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu and Kunming, the Music Day is everywhere in China!
Created in 1982 by Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, Fête de la Musique has now become a popular festival dedicated to music in all its forms since its first successful debut. Now adopted by countries around the world, it is celebrated in 110 countries on five continents, with more than 340 participating cities worldwide. The cities of Wuhan, Shanghai, Chengdu have joined in the past seven years.
It is to free to all who love music, professionals and amateurs alike! This year, we will welcome two bands each with their distinctive styles, they are:
Hugo Kant, the “real contemporary music commander” and multi-instrumentalist, who takes us into his Trance world with his mix of down-tempo and psychedelic jazz, saturating the performance with instrumental impact, creating a simple atmosphere with tense rhythm.
They released the “Searching London” EP in May, 2011, soon followed by the debut album “I Don’t Want To Be An Emperor”. The first album resembled “L’écurie Ninja Tune”, with elements of Bonobo, The Herbaliser or The Cinematic Orchestra.

Loïc Marmet: Drums
His passion for percussion led him to follow workshops in Mali and Cuba. He played at Salon De Provence for 4 years and worked 2 year at Pro Musica (Thor, France). He was the percussionist in Watcha Clan, Maracataca, Diabloson, Fruta Bomba, the Begat Theater Company and drummer in Nuestra Cosa and and Hugo Kant.
