As the Spring Festival is rapidly approaching, we would like to invite you to share this feast with us. Bring your family or call your friends and join us at Nordica. You will all have the chance to make sugar figures, rack your brains while solving spring festival riddles, try the “Glue-pudding”, learn how to make the beautiful Chinese paper cuttings, create dough figures,play chinese traditional games,learn about spring festival culture when pausing from the many activities listen to the music performances by children. All activities are for free, so do not miss this opportunity to enjoy and learn more about this ancient Chinese tradition.

Second movie in our “Swedish Classics” theme will be one of Ingmar
Bergman’s’ best. Ingmar Bergman is undoubtedly the most famous Swedish
movie director, one of the all time greatest. His career spans from
1944 to 2003 with his last feature, directing almost 50 movies, hugely
influencing several modern directors, as Woody Allen saying: “probably
the greatest film artist, all things considered, since the invention
of the motion picture camera.” or Krzysztof Kieslowski: “This man is
one of the few film directors”perhaps the only one in the world”to
have said as much about human nature as Dostoevsky or Camus.”
“Wild Strawberries” is one of Bergman’s earliest, depicting a man’s
journey toward self insight and reconciliation. It is often considered

Movie night is an opportunity for you who enjoy good movies to meet
with others of your kind, a place to watch and discuss the movie art.
We encourage people to stay after the showing of the movie to
participate in the discussion.
The subtitles will be in English as well as the discussion.
Movie night is free of charge, but it is possible to buy dinner (or coffee and cake – the chocolate cake is wonderful) at Nordica’s cafe.

A Swedish Love Story Movie Night
Long, bright nights and light green birch trees: This month Nordica offers you a chance to escape the freezing January wind and to soak up the Swedish summer warmth for a couple of hours. The first movie of the year will be “A Swedish Love story” by Roy Andersson, a movie famed for its description of teenage love. This is a wonderfully well told story starkly contrasting the naturalness of youth with the absurdity of the adult world. Do not miss this one!
We will start on Jan 15th Fri, 6.30 pm and finish approximately at 9 pm.
