Foreword

As a lyric among numerous Chinese old towns, Weishan is no doubt the paradise for photographer. The unique geographical condition formed its magnificent landscape and the deep and rich humanities culture accumulated in its long history.

Weishan has also been added some other splendid charm by being titled as a famous national historical and cultural town, the birthplace of Nanzhao Kingdom, headstream of Honghe River, a famous state of literature, a holy land for Yi minority to worship their ancestors, the hometown of Yi folk song, an important town on the Ancient Tea-Horse Trail, and the hometown of Chinese tie-dye craft. Come to Weishan, you may not only learn about its centuries-old history and culture and its authentic minority custom, enjoy its fantastic natural scenery, but also appreciate an agreeable atmosphere of harmonious co-existence between human and nature. It is indeed an optimum site for travelers to enjoy the ancient and simple pastoral life.

For its profound history and culture, Weishan has become more and more popular and appreciated by people and artists during past years. Many artists and photographers came to Weishan one after another and created a number of excellent artistic works with great meaning and artistic value. Those artistic works are all attractive and affecting. In order to contribute to the program of building Yunnan as a big province highlighted in its minority folk culture, and to exhibit Weishan’s unique charm as a famous national historical and cultural town, the Photography Exhibition of Weishan, a Famous Chinese Historical and Cultural Town—to Commemorating the 60′s Anniversary of Founding of People’s Republic of China, conducted by Yunnan Provincial Social Science Cooperative, Dali Prefecture Social Science Cooperative, Weishan County Party Committee, Weishan County People’s Government, will present beautiful natural scenery, massive historical culture, colorful minority custom and exquisite special snacks, etc. of Weishan from different perspectives. And the exhibition will also hopefully be a special gift to the 60′s Anniversary of Founding of People’s Republic of China.

In this British war comedy, set in WW II, a bomber crew is shot down over Paris during the Nazi occupation. They are helped out of the city by several good-hearted Frenchman. They make it to the steam bath where they had an important rendezvous. They then begin the final part of their escape. A cross-eyed German inadvertently helps them.
The memory of seeing movie at open-air cinema still in my mind, Its like every one of the cine film is playing in my head. I always curious about the projector, But so sad I have never got know this machine, Recently One of my friend help me find a 16mm cinematograph projector, So this Saturday June 20th 7pm the cinematographer will play a movie called La Grande vadrouille at TCG Nordica, You are welcome to join with us to find the memories of our childhood.

Emanuelle has been doing music since childhood and is now working as a singer, arranger and songwriter both in Sweden and abroad. She is now performing her own compositions, which are a blend of jazz, acoustic soul and singer/songwriter. The lyrics are about life, God, people, beauty, ugliness, injustice, imagination, love and sorrows whatever life chooses to lay in our path. The interaction between the lyrics and the music are an essential part of Emmanuelle’s music. Her lyrics about imagination and joy meet a more serious side with lyrics of sincerity and criticism. Together these lyrics create interesting and thought-provoking contrasts.
