Preface

Today children’s painting education plays a very important role in the early phase of children’s growth as does dance and music education. It especially affects more directly than other subjects on self-confirmation, fantasy and freedom to paint are very useful for the imagination, creation, and even the personality. As we all know the earliest way of human expression is by drawing. Drawing is naturally an easy way for children to face the objective world. So encouragement and proper directing are the best ways for children’s early drawing. We should be careful not to force children to do very skillful drawings.
After making it clear about the intention and direction, we put forward some new methods according to different problems in it. We should provide children with more space to imagine and create. This teaching method has already become the basic attitude in our teaching. Our aim is to change the recognition of the objective world into the estimation of the subjective world; change the skill training of objects into the respect of children’s world and how they interpretate it.
In recent years Song Ziping & Lei Yan’s art studio has made great progress for insisting on the teaching aim during teaching practice. I’m glad to introduce the works and share the teaching experience of children’s painting with those who dedicate to improving the level of children.s painting education.

Zhang Wei’s oil painting exhibition
“The living fettle behind My Happy life”-Zhang Wei

“My Happy Life” focus more on living fettle. It is a simulation of our living fettle of the younger generation. A picture of a pig dissociates between human beings and animals, I wish for the viewer to see the nature of humanity but how that nature can also link closely with that of the animal. Behind the merriment and exultation, there is a blurry psychosis, a blank heart and all exists on the same blank level. Does it represent our age?

Art Discussion: Print contemporary approach

As I enjoy waiting for the eroding of the copperplate, I am infatuated with the process of printing as well. Meanwhile, I aspire after flexible images and random lines, thirst for more ease and freedom, and try my best to form the special style-language of myself.
Works are only segments of thoughts, but the finality. By criticizing my works, I hope, it would make my direction clear, and moreover, stimulate more afflatus of creation.

Landscapes

In my landscapes I choose unconventional backdrops for both the landscape and the modern cityscape. I overlap the environment with the muscles of animals , this is to convey the suffering of both our natural environment and that of the animal. The flesh of the animal is cut into by man who also for the purpose of development ,cuts into the natural environment!
